Welcome to my studio! My love for quilting began with visiting quilt stores for nice cotton fabrics to make one of a kind aprons. I learned to sew in high school, then fine-tuned my skills in college, making my own clothes. When my two sons arrived, an assembly line of making shorts for their toddler years began.

Several years passed, and the sewing bug came back. I designed and made my son’s college graduation quilts- over sized King with no clue what I was doing. My next challenge was taking my mother in law’s clothes, creating a pattern and make 5 lap quilts for the grandchildren and a special uncle.

Taking classes over the years from long time quilting teachers has expanded my artistic love. Over time I have made kitchen-essentials, aprons and table runners which turned into quilts and lap blankets, sourcing quality fabrics and unique colors from shops around the country.

My studio is now home to all the tools necessary to feed my passion, from designing, sewing, to finishing quilts with my APQS long-arm affection affectionately known as “Caretta, Caretta” (a loggerhead turtle).

Whether you’ve got a gift in mind, or a quilt that needs a finishing touch, Quilted Turtle Studio is here for you.
